My web site is dedicated to helping people with Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Definiency, by explaining how I have lived and managed with a1ad since being diagnosed myself.
I have uploaded images and written short paragraphs explaining my life before and after a double lung transplant. I have also added some useful tips about surgery, and procedures that might come your way.
This was one of the best days of my life, moonlighting as a Keeper at Sparkwell Zoo - To see some great photos and a explanation of why this was such a great day, click on the link.
The Alpha 1 support group is a organisation that I helped to run for a number of years. Please feel free to browse their very informative website for any information regarding Alpha 1 Antitrypsin Definiency.
Here are some photos of my family, animals, places and myself over the years. They are a collection from holidays, parties and weddings, hope you enjoy them as much as I do.
It all started in infancy when I was diagnosed as having a weak chest, which was later to be labelled as ‘asthmatic’! Throughout my childhood I was plagued with chest infections, and to add insult to injury I also suffered with Eczema, it seemed that when my chest was good my skin was bad and vice-versa.
